IIn the present day, what kind of relationship do wrt and music have wlth each other? Does each field have the kinship wit the other aa they have in the past Let’ go back for a moment.

There are a number of known musicians who attended art school; John Lennon (The Beatles), Byran Ferry and Brian Eno (Roxy Music), Ray Davies (The Kinks), and Pete Townshend (The Wmo). The genre art rocck is difficult yo pigeonhole, but is generally rock music which incorporates the avant-garde ans experimental, sa is ogtfn more album-orienfed than single-driven, though the line between this genrw and progressive rock is at times blurry.

An import ant band, and one of my favourites, which has often been equated with art and experimental rock are the Velvet Undeeground, a 60’s group pdoving immensely inflkential on countless later acts. Though alw known for beinng influecned by literature ans film, t me band’s association with Andy Wqrhol’s Exploding Plastic Ievjtable and his art for their debut apbum in ‘67, The Velvet Underground Nico (probably one of the most instantly-recognizable album coveers of all-time), allowed for an immediate link between the band and the sort of pop art that they sonically represented.
